Myrtle Beach was tons of fun. We were at the beach and in the pool almost everyday, we did some shopping, looked at planes, ate at some awesome places, and went to lots of shows. We ate at Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Cafe, and a couple of other more familiar places. We went to Ripley's Aquarium, which had an awesome Titanic exhibit, that I can't believe is in it's last season. Le Grande Cirque at Palace Theater was really unique. Lots of acrobats and jump roping dogs were truly a sight to see. "One" at the Alabama Theater was the best show there. There was singing, dancing, comedy, country, broadway hits, and much much more. Good Vibrations at The Carolina Opry was also singing and dancing, but consisted of hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. It was really cool. I saw Kiss, Cheech and Chong, the Beatles, Jim Morrison, and many others. I got a tye die t-shirt and a CD that was recorded live that night. So yeah, it was a lot of fun, and I'm glad that West ended up not going because I know I would've spent zero time with my family, and that just wouldn't be good since it's my last official summer here. Next Wednesday, I get to spend half a week with West at Nags Head with his folks, so that'll make up for it.
Winton Baptist Church Softball has begun! We played our first game last Saturday, which I wasn't able to make because I was just getting home from Myrtle Beach. We played Bethany Baptist, and from what I understand, we won a lot to a little. Tonight, at 7 pm, we play Buckhorn Baptist, so we'll see how that goes. If you want to come see us play, we always play at the field across from Big Daddy's. Here's our schedule:
Date/Time/Home/Away
Sat. July 16/6 pm/Bethany Baptist/Winton Baptist
Tue. July 19/7 pm/Buckhorn Baptist/Winton Baptist
Thurs. July 21/6 pm/Winton Baptist/Union Baptist
Sat. July 30/5 pm/Mt. Tabor/Winton Baptist
Tue. Aug. 9/7 pm/Winton Baptist/Murf. First Bap.
Sat. Aug. 13/5 pm/Winton Baptist/Higher Ground
Thurs. Aug. 18/6 pm/Potecasi/Winton Baptist
Sat. Aug. 20/7 pm/Winton Baptist/Riverside&Capehart
Sat. Aug. 27/7 pm/Carpenter Shop/Winton Baptist
Thurs. Sep. 1/6 pm/Winton Baptist/Murf. United Meth.
The Carpenter Shop may be dropping out, so that game will probably get cancelled. I'm excited and can't wait to see what the season will bring. For now, I'm signing off. Have a good night!
